In some cases, medication will be necessary to help bring a sense of balance to teens so affected. Others will need a combination of drugs and counseling. In short, the treatment options chosen will depend on the problem and the cause.

Mental health problems are nothing to be ashamed of. There is a stigma that sometimes makes it difficult to effectively manage mental health problems in general. With knowledge and care, many teens with mental health issues can overcome their difficulties and go on to lead productive, happy lives.
